Wearing words

Evening gals (and guys?) xo

Thanks for your response to my poll about my 2000+ follower celebrations. Very helpful, and so far, it looks like most people are wanting the best of both worlds - sponsored prizes and ones I've bought too. Will get on the case as soon as I'm done with uni!

Anyway, I wanted to show you these cute new arrivals in Sophie's shop (Oh My Clumsy Heart). Alex used to work with Sophie and they're still good buddies, and when they met up the other day, she'd made this dictionary badge for him. What a cool idea! Very fitting for my loveably apathetic boy.

Sophie is also selling dictionary letter badges and necklaces too.

Sophie tells me that if it's available, you can message her asking for a specific word if there's one you'd particularly like on a badge!

I'm crud at making decisions so I don't know what word I'd get on a badge. Would probably have to settle on my initial. Or 'indecisive'! I know what my least favourite words are... 'gyrate', 'globule', 'giblets' to name a few... Damn, all the G words! Maybe I ought to rethink getting my initial on a badge...

What would you get? Share your favourite words avec moi! And/or your least favourite for that matter. There is little I enjoy more than discussing words!

  7. Turquoise, fuzzy, licorice, all up there with my faves.
Phlegm too, although it conjures up yucky images.
Ickle, I like that too. I could go on all day. This is fun!

Hard to think of words I don't like...

I know my mum hates the word 'pish'. I used to get into far worse trouble saying that than actual swear words.

  8. This is a brilliant idea! Original too. Might have to get me a badge. Nooooo idea what word I'd get though. I just tried to blank my mind & then pick the first word that came to it, & the word was 'sieve'. Errrrrr. My least favourite word is 'lactate', ewwwwww. It just makes my neck do that bendy cricky shuddery thing.

Yona - yes she ships internationally I believe, details will be on her Etsy shop I linked to.

Madame G - Ewww at Phlegm! You crazy! I do love the spelling of it though, now you mention it...

Kate - 'Sieve' would be so random on a badge, it would be hilarious! And agreed on the mega EWW at 'lactate'.

  21. Those are such a good idea :) They look really nice ! My favourite word at the moment is "Insipid", I don't think I'd have it on a badge incase people thought I was describing myself. xo

  22. I love the word 'taxing', because I find the world so taxing, but also I am taxing to other people! For the same reason I like 'trying' too. 'Bastinado' and 'defenestrate' are funny words.

Words that I would not wear upon my person include 'moist' and 'tease'. I hate the word 'boob' too, it just sounds... stupid. Boooooob.

And these badges are awesome, they made me smile because my friend leah got me two pretty dictionary prints for my birthday last year! Its a big giant page, with tattoo-esque images printed over the top :) I was reading some of the words under it as I hung them in our new house, but none were near as exciting as all the ones youve been quoted above! hahaha yuckkkk :p love you long time missy xx
