Take one, pass it on

Hey hey!

How are we all on this fricking freezing day? Any of you had snow yet? I don't think Canterbury is getting any, which suits me because it's more than cold enough already! I spent a good few seconds on the arctic walk home from uni considering the many ways a balaclava would improve my life. Arguably a low point in my winter wardrobe choices.

My little rant ties in quite nicely to an email I received from my pals at Clothing at Tesco a while ago offering my winter wardrobe something vastly cooler than a balaclava. To celebrate the launch of the A/W collection, they asked if I wanted to pick something I liked from the website, and then pick one of my readers to get something as well. How sweet! I do love when a brand offers something for the readers as well as the blogger. Good work, Clothing at Tesco! Oh my god, I just realised their acronym is CAT. Even BETTER work, Clothing at Tesco!

I chose this lovely (and darn good faux) leather aviator jacket, and chose the gorgeous SJ from Cow Biscuits to be my freebie recipient. Not only is this because SJ has been very helpful in my fragrance project for uni (she's a qualified Fragrance Advisor, dontcha know!) but also because her blog is right up my street. She shares my loves of all the finest P words: Peter pan collars, pets and Katy Perry!

Am off to write articles for my uni project now. SNOOZE. Cannot wait for hand-in on 13th December. I want my life back! 'Life' being blogging regularly and eating snacks in front of 3 hours of TV a night. At the moment I can only justify watching 1 hour of tv a night... It's horrific!

Your rock 'n' roll pal,

  1. Gem I love this outfit! That jacket is so cute and I've been keeping my peepers out for a lovely one that doesn't have too big a collar. This fits the bill nicely so I'm gonna go toddle of to Tesco and try it on!

  2. We've not had snow but I live right by the sea so it never really gets snowing for us! I'm bored of cold weather. Bah humbug. Ooh, that was nice of Tesco to do so. That's a rather gorgeous aviator jacket! I need to sort out my winter wardrobe and invest in one. Aww, lucky SJ too but I agree she totally deserves it. I hope the uni stuff doesn't drag too much sweet and we all look forward to your tweet company soon haha.

  5. Looks lovely, I've noticed some great stuff on their website lately. Makes me very excited to see the newly refurbished megastore when I go back home...
And I'm so cold in my house, I can't wait to go back home and not worry about the bills (that haven't even materialised yet)!

  6. That jacket is adorable! Not really been into the whole aviator thing but that, I think, has switched me! Congrats to SJ, she's so lovely! I'm so glad it hasn't snowed here also, I'm too scared to leave my house when it does as I live on a hill! Feeling your uni pains, although you seem a lot more motivated than me! xx

  10. I'm sure a bit of customization to a balaclava would make it more stylishly acceptable and less like you were going to rob your local post office! x

  11. That jacket is amazing, great pick! This whole outfit is really sweet.

Oo, I don't know if I've told you - but I'm seeing Katy Perry next May in her first NZ show! My tickets arrived a few days ago, ahh! I thought as a fellow fan you might appreciate that :)

Also - 1 hour of TV a night? That IS horrific. I have to watch at least 2 to feel like my day was worthwhile! (I'm sort of joking).

Good luck with the uni work!

  13. It's an awesome jacket! But I think you're going to need a balaclava too to stay warm in that snow we're supposed to be having on the weekend. My three Italian flatmates keep moaning to me about the prospect, like they've never heard the word before!
